As a part of Gift of Sight in Africa, under the project "Eye Surgery Mission @ NCEH Northern Ghana", the eye surgeons Rtn Dr Ravishankar DO MS DNB FRCS(Edin)UK and Rtn Dr Uma Ravishankar DNB FRCS(Edin) UK, Usha Kiran Eye Hospital, Mysore and Rotary E club of Bangalore, RID 3191, performed 75-100 Adult sight restoration surgeries and 20-25 Paediatric Eye surgeries under General anesthesia during 6-17 July, 2024. The youngest was a 3-month infant. This project was very well received making a difference to few patients and their families. The doctors team expressed their sincere gratitude to Rotary Bangalore Abilities and other sponsors for the support and helping them for going out of the way to make this service a reality.
