Arun is the President of Rotary Bangalore Abilities for the year 2024 - 2025. By profession, he is a Wellness Coach. Understanding the strengths of each member, he has put all his efforts into placing the right member in the right role to lead the club to reach greater heights. His strengths of communication and strategic thinking will help the club to grow into a more vibrant club. Arun serves as the 8th President of the club and is the first President living with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) to lead a rotary club in the Rotary International.
Kameshwari is the Secretary of Rotary Bangalore Abilities for the year 2024 - 2025. She is calm by nature and enjoys travel, music and crochet. She works for Google in the accessibility domain. She is blind and is married to Rtn.Kiran Kumar, who is also associated with Rotary Bangalore Abilities.
Chandana being the Immediate Past President, she is ready to put the club's finances in order and she serves and the Treasurer for the club. She got married to Rtn.Gokula Krishnan, who is also associated with Rotary Bangalore Abilities. She is blind and works for Ernst & Young. She enjoys music, travel and cooking.
Justin Philips was the Charter President of the club and currently serving as the Vice President for the club. He is blind and works as a trainer. His hobbies include reading, playing chess, music, and public speaking. He also chairs the Special Abilities sub-group under RID 3191 District Community Services. His wise counsel should hopefully help the club to reach greater heights.
Dr. Gopi Devarajan serves as the Executive Secretary and the Director of International Services for the club. He lives with Multiple Disabilities (Multiple Sclerosis and Low vision). He is a YCB Certified Yoga Instructor. He enjoys music and traveling. He works as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at an Engineering College in Kanyakumari. He also serves as the National Joint Secretary for Western Ghat Research Association of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
Kiran Kumar serves as the Learning Facilitator and the Director, Youth Services for the club. He is married to Rtn.Kameshwari who is also associated with Rotary Bangalore Abilities. He works for Tata Consultancy Services and has a passion for badminton and travel and a foodie at heart. He aims to galvanize the youth in his role as Youth Services Director and has also agreed to be the Learning Facilitator, a new role created by Rotary International this year.
Kranthi is the Director, Community Services for the club. She is always ready to help the people in need. Her list of services rendered to the club is endless. She loves travel, designing miniature dolls, and handicraft. Kranthi works for an event management organization, and her role brings out the best in her. She will also serve the district as a Zonal Secretary.
Pinky Gupta is the Director, Club Services for the club. She is blind and works for Accenture in the accessibility space. Gifted with a melodious voice, she is passionate about singing and cooking. Her responsibility is to organize the meetings and to keep the club vibrant.
Gokula Krishnan serves as the Director, Vocational Services for the club. He is married to Rtn. Chandana, who is also associated with Rotary Bangalore Abilities. He is blind and works for Ernst & Young as an auditor. His passion lies in music and traveling, and he is also gifted with a soothing voice.
Puja Chadha serves as the Director, Public Image for the club. She battles with Multiple Sclerosis and works as an Office Manager for Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (Delhi Chapter). She understands and is aware of all trends shaping the social media landscape and that made her the right person to lead the public image initiative. Last year the club gained a lot of coverage in various social media platforms because of her initiatives.
Pradeep Sudarshan works for IBM and is passionate about preventable blindness. He is the Polio Chair for the club this year.
Aravind Aralaguppe works for Kirloskar Electric and has been consistently contributing to the TRF and is the TRF Chair for the club this year. He is passionate about fitness, technology and music.
DEI Chair (2024-2025) Shreyas is an advocate by profession. A foodie and a music lover, this lawyer has tremendous concern for empowering the disabled community. He is keen on using his skills to further the cause of DEI
Membership Chair (2024-2025) Priya works for the Canara Bank. She is into spirituality, reading, and traveling. Interacting with people and maintaining relationships are her forte.
Environment and Water Conservation Chair (2024-2025) Nagaraj works for SBI. He cares strongly about the environment. He sets aside money every month for tree plantation. He is the right person to lead our club's efforts.
Community and Accessibility Chair (2024-2025) Shalini works for New India Insurance. Her responsibilities this year are distributed both as a Community Chair and as an Accessibility Chair.
Women Empowerment Chair (2024-2025) Lakshmi is the Managing Trustee of another organization, Sahana. Lakshmi has genuine care in uplifting the plight of women. Her experience will come in handy.
Literacy Chair (2024-2025) Asha works with SAP Labs and has autism.
Literacy Chair (2024-2025) Anandi is blind and manages an organic store. She loves theatre and is a performer herself. Anandhi and Asha will together work towards promoting literacy in the club and community. Anandhi returns after a sabbatical.
