On Sunday, September 29th, Rotary Bangalore Abilities celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by planting 155 arecanut saplings in Hosahallipalya, Tumkur District. After a visit to the local Rama temple and paying homage to Mother Earth, 15 club members joined villagers to plant the saplings in the names of their respective mothers. Members enjoyed refreshing tender coconut in the open fields and sumptuous meals were served to conclude a successful day of service and celebration. A big thank you to Puttaraju, Latha, Rangaiah, Ambikaamma, Ningamma, and the other villagers for their warmth and support!
